The ACE Historic Vehicle Collection began in 1978\, when the Auto Club bought and restored a 1924 Dodge truck as a way to represent its long legacy of service to members and the public. The truck proved so popular at community events that the Auto Club acquired more historic vehicles in order to portray the range of services that the Club had provided over the years.
